January 27th is Family Literacy Day. This is a day to celebrate reading and literacy and the connections that families make with literacy activities.
At the school, each class will be engaging in their own special literacy activity to honor this special day. Ask your child about what they did in school to celebrate family literacy.
I hope that you will get to spend some quality time engaging with your family and sharing books, writing, or engaging in language games on the 27th. Perhaps it may be a good time to start a new literacy tradition or routine in your household.
